Dr. XYZ,

I was weighing the opportunity cost on whether I should drop your class — per my academic advisor’s recommendation after having course credits accepted from my previous university. However, after further reading the syllabus and completing half of Financial Intelligence, I have decided to remain in the course.

Moreover, my nuanced thoughts have resulted in me submitting week 3’s homework late. To make amends, I exceeded the assigned word length by writing 5.5 pages double spaced which was submitted at 11:55PM EST (I am PST.) I promise not to repeat this mishap moving forward and more importantly, I look forward to being under your tutelage.
